I am Sara van Dijk, a Dutch illustrator, painter, and portrait artist, based in Haarlem, the Netherlands. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp in 2022 with a degree in painting, I have been working as a professional artist, creating work from book covers to portrait paintings in oil.

As an illustrator, I create captivating images using a mix of traditional and digital media. Being an avid reader, I love making work for books and thinking about how best to visualize a story. The same goes for movies and editorial work – I just love drawing!

In my personal work, I explore the boundary between intimacy and universal emotion. I focus on vulnerability and introspection.
